The 28th International Festival of Multimedia Arts - IMAF 2026 will be held from August 24 to September 5, 2026 in Odžaci and Novi Sad. Despite the fact that for the second year in a row, this manifestation has survived under the conditions of a complete institutional blockade and without any financial support at public competitions in the country. Despite selective funding and political pressures on the independent scene, IMAF manages to maintain its continuity thanks to the help and donations of the artists themselves. This manifestation began its artistic journey as an underground project, and after less than three decades, it continues its mission in the same manner - based on solidarity and independent production.
Part of the IMAF festival will be presented online during the duration of the festival. This year's online video performance presentation presents 28 works by over 35 artists from 21 countries. The project of online presentation of the video performance on the YouTube channel of the IMAF festival will be realized from August 24 to September 5, 2026. Another of the accompanying events within IMAF 2026 is the international multimedia exhibition. Photographs, digital prints, drawings and video works submitted for this year's online presentation will be exhibits for a multimedia exhibition entitled "Performance = Freedom". Thus, the participants of the online presentation are also exhibitors at the "Performance = Freedom" exhibition. The exhibition will be held from August 24 to 30 in the SULUV gallery in Novi Sad.
The main segment of the festival with live performances by local and foreign artists is planned for the weekend of August 29 and 30, 2026, in the SULUV Gallery in Novi Sad. Artists who will present their performances live: Aleksandar Jovanović (Serbia), AnimaeNoctis – Silvia Marcantoni Taddei & Massimo Sannelli (Italy), Mari Bo (France), Marko Ubović (Serbia), Sofia Vera (Mexico), Saša Denić-Špena (Serbia), Nada Milošević Ash (Serbia), Spike Mclarrity (United Kingdom) and Nenad Bogdanović (Serbia).
The artists are also invited to perform in the open space of MAS Gallery (courtyard) in Odžaci on September 3rd.
And finally the Day of the Rabbit on Saturday 5th September 2026. Seventh year running this free, open art workshop, run and designed by international UK artist, Spike Mclarrity. The Day of the Rabbit will be held on the City Square in Odžaci (near the Sports Center).

28. Međunarodni festival multimedijalne umetnosti –
IMAF 2026 održaće se od 24. avgusta do 05. septembra 2026. godine
u Odžacima i Novom Sadu. Uprkos činjenici da ova manifestacija već drugu godinu
zaredom opstaje u uslovima potpune institucionalne blokade i bez ikakve
finansijske podrške na javnim konkursima u zemlji. Uprkos selektivnom
finansiranju i političkim pritiscima na nezavisnu scenu, IMAF uspeva da održi
svoj kontinuitet zahvaljujući pomoći i donacijama
samih umetnika. Ova manifestacija je svoj umetnički put
započela kao andergraund projekat, a posle nepune tri decenije nastavlja svoju
misiju u istom maniru – oslonjena na solidarnost i nezavisnu produkciju.
Deo IMAF festivala će biti prezentovan onlajn
u toku trajanja festivala. Ovogodišnja onlajn prezentacija video performansa
predstavlja 28 radova preko 35 umetnika iz 21 zemlje sveta. Projekat onlajn
prezentacije video performansa na Jutjub kanalu festivala IMAF biće realizovan
od 24. avgusta do 05. septembra 2026. godine. Još jedan od pratećih događaja u
okviru IMAF 2026 je međunarodna multimedijalna izložba. Fotografije, digitalni
otisci, crteži i video radovi poslati za ovogodišnju onlajn prezentaciju biće
eksponati za multimedijalnu izložbu pod nazivom „Performans = Sloboda“. Tako su
učesnici onlajn prezentacije ujedno i izlagači na izložbi „Performans =
Sloboda“. Izložba će biti održana od 24. do 30. avgusta u galeriji SULUV-a u
Novom Sadu.
Glavni segment
festivala sa živim izvođenjima domaćih i inostranih umetnika planiran je za vikend,
29. i 30. avgust 2026. godine,
u prostoru Galerije
SULUV-a u Novom Sadu. Umetnici koji će uživo
predstaviti svoje performanse: Aleksandar Jovanović (Srbija),

Umetnici su takođe pozvani da se predstave
performansima na otvorenom prostoru galerije MAS (dvorište) u Odžacima 03. Septembra,
I na kraju Dan zeca u subotu 5. septembra
2026. Sedma godina kako organizujemo ovu besplatnu, otvorenu umetničku
radionicu, koju vodi i osmišljava međunarodni umetnik iz Ujedinjenog
Kraljevstva, Spike Mclarrity. Dan zeca će biti održan na Gradskom trgu u
Odžacima (kod Sportskog centra).
